Desserts and coffee have an important place in Cypriot culture. Traditional desserts such as macun and pastries are often served to guests. Cypriot coffee is also a strong part of local culture. It is not only a drink but also a symbol of hospitality and conversation. İn these days modern cafes has opened. However there is still the old cafe culture, where our grandparents went in villages. Cypriot coffee is a bit bitter and strong, but it goes very well with coffee conversation. Personally, I can’t wake up without at least four cups a day.
In addition to all this, our desserts are also unique. For example, Limassol dessert, kadayif, and éclairs are my favorites. These are unique desserts from a culture that fully embodies and preserves Mediterranean culture.
